Shipping & Payments

How much does it cost to ship?

Within the Continental U.S. our shipping rate is $40 for every 12 bottles (750ml) purchased.

Rates do not apply to 375ml or 1.5L wines.

For quantity limitations and estimated shipping times to all states, and rates to Alaska and Hawaii, please view our shipping details page.

How long does delivery take?

For information regarding delivery times, please view our shipping details page.

Can you get my wine to me faster if I pay extra?

For information regarding expedited shipping, please view our shipping details page.

Where can you ship?

For information regarding eligible states, please view our shipping details page.

Why can't you ship to all 50 states?

Since the repeal of prohibition, the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages have been regulated by individual states. Each state has its own laws.

Rarely do they coincide, and even more rarely do they allow an out-of-state company to sell wine without maintaining a license and inventory in their state.

How can I pay for my wine?

We accept all major credit cards and personal checks. If you would like to pay by personal check, please call +1 (707) 953-3911 to place your order.

Labelmaker Templates

What can I put on my label?

Windsor Vineyards reserves the right to remove content that does not adhere to our Label Terms & Conditions. Labels will be removed if they contain images of the American flag; pornography; profanity; violation of copyright, trademark or Alcoholic Bureau regulations or imply the word “health” or any health benefits.

Can I buy just the labels?

Our custom wine labels are only available on our Windsor Vineyards wines and cannot be sold separately.

How do I get the labelmaker to work?

Custom label creation is temporarily unavailable due to our labelmaker being upgraded. We’re actively working to make it as user friendly and accessible as possible. We will update the website as soon as it becomes available again. We appreciate your
patience!

I previously created a custom label with your label maker and now cannot find it.

We've made a substantial upgrade to our labelmaker and the new features are not compatible with the old labels. We encourage you to check out our new label maker and our expanded selection of labels once it is fully operational.

Are the labels waterproof?

Most of our custom labels use a gloss-coated paper and are water resistant, however they are not waterproof. Any prolonged exposure to water or ice will cause damage. If you plan to leave submerged in ice or expose to water, we suggest the following:

  • Every bottle is enclosed in a plastic sleeve when shipping. Leave this sleeve on the wine as long as possible before serving.
  • When placing in ice, position so that the back half of the bottle is being submerged and the front label is not in contact.
  • Opt for a wine cooler or store in fridge to cool, rather than in ice.

Windsor's Wine

Does your wine contain sulfites?

The term "contains sulfites" refers to the use of sulfur dioxide (SO2) employed as both a preservative and disinfectant in winemaking. SO2 is added in very low concentrations and without it the stability of wine could be jeopardized.

Sweet wines need more SO2 than drier wines in order to inhibit possible bottle fermentation. It is virtually impossible to have wine that is free of SO2, as this naturally occurring chemical is one of the by-products of fermentation, including that which takes place in the making of bread and fruit juice.

What is your best wine?

There is no single answer for such a subjective question. Many of our wines have been awarded gold medals in a variety of categories. Ultimately, we feel that a good wine is the one you like to drink! We encourage you to taste all of our wines, and judge for yourself!

When should I drink my wine?

This schedule provides a rule of thumb for aging, counting from the vintage date of the wine. Remember, if properly stored, in a cool, dry place at a slight angle, neck down, just enough so the wine is touching the cork, some wines may keep longer. If you purchase wine with the intent of cellaring it, be sure to taste it periodically to see if it is improving to your satisfaction. Wine is a living, changing, product in the bottle, and besides, it gives you an excuse to taste!
