About Napa Valley
A little-known fact about Napa Valley: Historically Napa Valley was originally planted to Petite Sirah grapes and Cabernet plantings only started in 1960. This blend of Petite Sirah fruit is sourced from our vineyards - roughly 50% Rutherford and 50% Oakville, from older vines 40+ years old. The 2017 vintage was fast and furious, with very hot degree days during the early fall harvest. These high temperatures pushed grape ripening and picking in to the winery much earlier, making the harvest much earlier. The result is a deeply concentrated wine with incredible character and structure.
